Sherree Chamberlain, a budding artist from Edmond, plays her guitar on her front steps. Chamberlain, who graduated from Oklahoma State in 2008, said she has longed to write and play music since second grade.
I had the pleasure of photographing and pseudo-interviewing one of my favorite local artists. Before I get any further, make sure to check out her MySpace profile here, where you can preview a few of her tracks.
We met at a place called Cuppies & Joe. Delicious cupcakes.
Sherree was probably one of the easiest people I’ve worked with. Normally, when I’m using a bunch of lights and somewhat trying to direct my subject, I feel rushed. For no reason. But Sherree was even more laid back than I expected.
After we headed back to C&J to do the interview, I sat in awe as she explained her creative process. Though I never analyze my own creative process, – probably because I don’t have one – I’m always interested in hearing about others’.
It was great to see the juxtaposition of her normal, relaxed lifestyle and the fully-intentional, driven attitude toward her career.

This is beautiful. i’ll try to follow your blog better these days.
A+
Great lighting!
Great shot! I love how you crafted the light.
I love being Juxtaposition
Thanks for all of the comments guys & Mom!
Adam…?
Good looking image. Like the light.
It looked a little over sharpened in the Ocolly.
Other wise very good.
