T. Boone Pickens works out in Oklahoma State’s new training facility underneath Boone Pickens Stadium. Despite wearing a suit, Pickens demanded that strength and conditioning coach, Rob Gass, add more weight to the machine.
Monday, I followed around Boone Pickens, Burns Hargis and Mike Holder as Boone was given a full tour of the newly-completed stadium.
Mr. Pickens is always a lot of fun to be around. He’s the type that you will never be bored being around.
Last semester he let a couple of us from the O’Colly hang out at his office for a day and even sit in on his meetings. I was surprised at his generosity. I think most people would be surprised by how caring he is to the people in his life.
I’ll surely make another post about him in the future, so I will go into greater detail about him then.
For now, I hope everyone is having a good week. This is my first week of school, so the frequency of my posts will be sporadic for a while.
Super nice guy. I have met with and spoken to him a number of times at work.
